You need to make the template for the base and the lid on the cardboard sheet. Ensure that the lid must fit entirely over the base. Hence, the top part of the lid would be a bit big then the bottom part of the base. You have to keep the top part of the lid about 23x16mm. Also, the bottom part of the base has to be 22x15mm. Remember that the lid and base should have a height of 3.5mm.

Step 3 – Cut Out The Edge of The Template:

It is the time to cut out the edge of the template that you have made for both base and lid. If you need to have straight lines, then it is recommended that you use a ruler of metal.

Step 4 – Scoring the Folds:

Now, you need to score the folds of the base and lid. You have to use a sharp knife. Also, you have to cut out each side of every flap.

Step 5 – Add up Glue:

When you have scored all the folds, then you need to apply glue to the back of the flaps. Take a flap one after the other and then apply glue on its back. It is a good option to apply glue on only two flaps at a time. In this way, it would be easy for you to manage.

Step 6 – Stick Up the Flaps:

You have to stick up the flaps on the sides of the base and lid. In case you are having a problem in bending the sides then you have to score the folds first and then try bending. You might have to hold up the joins when the glue is getting dried. You have to make the box strong and study to use it for a long period.

Step 7 – Ensure the Base and Lid Fit Together:

When all the flaps are glued to the sides of the lid and base, then you need to ensure these two things fit together. In case the lid does not fit the base then you might have done something wrong. If these two things fit together, then your toy box is ready.
